HK studio marvel

With the ongoing political unrest in Thailand, D and I are starting to consider setting our sights for opportunities elsewhere. At this point, we have no particular place in mind. We are keeping our options open. The world is our oyster! We'll go wherever there is opportunity.

We have, however, looked into moving to Hong Kong. The idea of moving to Hong Kong excites us both to no end. The city feels so alive, fast-paced, and vibrant. Unfortunately, it is also a very expensive city to live in, especially when compared to the dirt cheap cost of living in Bangkok.

Housing tops the list for monthly expenses. After checking out apartments for rent online, we realized we would have to shell out at least HKD 15,000 to get an apartment half the size of our apartment now. I would have to admit that the thought of living in a shoe box apartment in Hong Kong made me think twice.

But Gary Chang from Hong Kong seem to make it work. Gary's 330 square-foot studio in Hong Kong is probably one of the most amazing small spaces I've ever seen.

He turned his tiny studio into a 24-room marvel.
